On May 3rd, Dorothy Kelly, Vice President of University of Granada, visited GDUFS along with her delegation. SUI Guangjun, General Secretary and President of GDUFS, received the guests in the VIP Hall of the Administration Building where the two sides discussed the further cooperation between the two universities.

SUI mentioned that the Sino-western exchange has grown closer than ever along with the boosting globalization. He added that the two sides could get down to exploring new cooperation areas while achieving higher cooperation status based on solid cooperative foundation of the two sister universities. On behalf of GDUFS, SUI expressed strong support for our sister university to which distinguished teaching staff was promised, expanding cooperation areas between the two sides in European studies, economics, international relation and other relating areas. He also invited scholars of University of Granada to participate in the upcoming international think tank forum to be held in November this year.
Dorothy Kelly expressed that the visit was intended for in-depth discussion about further details of the cooperative programs under the frame of the Erasmus Mundus Program. Meanwhile, she showed strong desire for further cooperation in student and teacher exchange and other areas alike. Apart from continuously strengthened academic areas in linguistics and translation, according to Dorothy Kelly, areas in computer science and information technology are to see new cooperation.
CAI Hong, Director of the International Cooperation and Exchange Office; YANG Ke, Dean of the Faculty of European Languages and Cultures,and ZHAO Junfeng, Dean of the School of Interpreting and Translation Studies, also attended the meeting.
